San Miguel Firefighters Association

The San Miguel Firefighters Association (SMFA) is committed to helping the town and people of San Miguel, its firefighters, visitors and community groups through professionalism, charity and community spirit.

The San Miguel Firefighters Association is a member of the California State Firefighters Association (CSFA). SMFA aligns with the CSFA’s mission to foster and promote a better understanding among members, elected and appointed officials and the community to encourage the maintenance of the civil service system; to promote the observance of high standards of conduct for firefighters; and to work for the enactment and maintenance of laws and regulations that benefit fire service personnel and protect life and property. The SMFA is made up of San Miguel Volunteer firefighters (active duty and retired) and San Miguel community members, but is a separate entity from the San Miguel Fire Department. SMFA members join to be of service and to help where we can. It is in that spirit that the SMFA plans it’s annual events and projects. The SMFA is funded through member dues, donations and the annual 4th of July Fireworks Booth. Our most valued asset is the donated time and effort of our members and the community.
